“The art of raising a parent ”

Tired of adults, with all their bogus rules and contradictions? Want to understand them better or get EVERYTHING you want from them, whether that’s a doughnut or a hug? This is THE theatre lecture of your dreams, given by one of the biggest mini-life coaches around. Finally, the KEYS to understanding (and the secret candy stash) are within YOUR reach!

Joséphine delivers an enlightening exposé on grown-ups, in ten zany lessons. You’ll learn how to interact with them and interpret their non-verbal cues, their whims and their complicated hair (prickly beards, mustaches, unibrows, bald patches!). In spite of herself, the young girl also lets you in on her own family’s life, which isn’t all sunshine and roses. Plus, there’s a rowdy audience member who won’t stop bothering her! What does she want from Joséphine? Could it be that the distinguished speaker also needs a few tips and tricks on how to get along with her parents?

Lighting design and the two charismatic actresses take the focus on this charming, minimalist stage. This gem of a play by Marie-Hélène Larose-Truchon will strike a chord and tug at all your childhood heartstrings.

Free workshops - Step Into Creation

In order to get a better handle on the world of creation, why not experience a thrilling moment with artists or those who gravitate around them? Learn more about their aspirations, collectively reflect on the big question that move them, or try your hand at their craft in playful fashion. Allow your students to fully immerse themselves in the world of the show, and offer them a richer experience overall.

This year, let the NAC’s French Theatre treat you to a visit from an artist in preparation for a student matinee performance. Hurry up and take advantage of this limited time offer! Make sure to include the request in your registration form for student matinee tickets.
